K2 GLASS DOCTOR B350 Windscreen and Glass Headlight Repair Kit
K2 GLASS DOCTOR (B350)
Windscreen and glass headlight repair kit
K2 GLASS DOCTOR is a windscreen repair kit. It was designed to easily fill point cracks or spiderweb-like damage on the glass.
With K2 GLASS DOCTOR, you can eliminate stone chip damage on your windscreen. The resin included in the kit fills the chips on the glass, and then, after contact with sunlight, hardens into a completely transparent form.
Using the K2 GLASS DOCTOR kit masks the chip on the windscreen, making it invisible and not interfering with driving. It also prevents the chip from enlarging.
Thanks to the K2 GLASS DOCTOR repair kit, you don't have to worry that a chip on your windscreen will cause your car to fail its technical inspection or require a full windscreen replacement.
The kit includes:
- a syringe;
- a tube of filler;
- a razor blade;
- a stand with a funnel;
- an adhesive seal;
- a self-curing film sheet;
- a pin for cleaning the crack area.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Clean any loose glass particles from the chip (the opening in the impact crack) using a pin. Also clean the entire area around the diameter of the damaged spot.
- Stick the adhesive seal to the windscreen at the chip location. To do this, peel off the protective film from one side of the seal. Stick the seal so that the chip is in the center of the hole and the tab points upwards. Press the seal firmly against the glass.
- Peel off the protective film from the top of the seal.
- Mount the stand on the seal so that the tabs overlap. Make sure it is firmly pressed against the seal.
- Pour the contents of the resin tube into the stand through the top opening. Leave some resin for the penultimate repair stage. Wipe off any excess resin and close the resin container.
- Place the syringe with the plunger fully depressed into the top opening. Make sure it is properly seated.
- Extract air from the base, holding the syringe barrel with one hand and lifting the syringe plunger with the other hand. Lock the plunger by snapping the first clip onto the spring clamp. Release and leave the syringe in this position for 10 minutes to suck out all the air.
- Remove the syringe and draw air into it. Reinsert the syringe and check that it is securely in place.
- Press the syringe plunger and lock it onto the second clip by locking the plunger with a rotational movement on the spring clamp. Leave the syringe locked in this position for 20 minutes. After this, remove the syringe.
- Using a razor blade, cut the edge of the base and peel the entire assembly off the glass. Remove any excess dripping resin from the glass.
- Apply one or more drops of resin to the chip area again and attach the transparent curing film to that spot, then squeeze out any air bubbles from underneath it.
- Expose the glass with the K2 Glass Doctor applied to sunlight for at least 15 minutes to allow the resin to cure. Once the resin has cured, gently scrape off the curing film and excess resin with a razor blade.
NOTES:
- Do not use in direct sunlight.
- Do not apply to a hot windscreen. Apply in a shaded area.
- To remove adhesive residue, the razor blade included in the kit is necessary.
- Do not allow the resin to come into contact with painted elements.
